Jen is originally from the Miami Beach area, matriculating to the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Communication. Prior to creating the Property Management Division, she garnered extensive experience in the retail sales industry, most notably as the Merchandise Buyer for College Book & Supply at UCF and as a Store Manager for Express.
Jen relocated to Citrus County in 2003 with her husband, Rob Tessmer, Jr. She is a member of FARPM, Florida Association of Residential Property Managers, and continues to travel around the state continuing her Property Management Education. She obtained her Professional Residential Manager designation, through The Property Management Academy in March of 2008. Jen is one of the few property managers in the County with this designation.
When she isn’t working on rental properties, Jen volunteers for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life and Cattle Barons Ball. Outside of work and community involvement, Jen enjoys shopping, Starbuck’s Coffee, boating on our wonderful chain of lakes, visiting with friends, and raising a young son.
Kansas was born in Tampa, Florida and moved to Citrus County at a very young age and has lived here since. She attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
She enjoys staying active in the community by volunteering in several non-profit organizations. She served on the Board of Directors for the Rowing Organization of Citrus County Students and participates each year in the counties annual Buddy Walk for Down’s Syndrome Awareness.
When Kansas isn’t busy working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking on the Withlacoochee State Trail and taking care of her little shih-tzu.
